Membership

The NSW DDLC is incorporated under the Association Incorporation Act 1984 (NSW) and offers five membership categories.

Concession Membership: AU$2

Any person who fulfills the Individual Membership criteria but who is a student or in receipt of a social security benefit. Concession Members are entitled to attend all general meetings of members and to have one vote.

Individual Membership: AU$5

Any person with a disability can be an Individual Member and is entitled to attend all general meetings of members and to have one vote.

Associate Membership: AU$20

Any person who does not fit the requirements to be an Individual Member may be classified as an Associate Member and are entitled to attend all general meetings of members and to have one vote.

Organisational Membership: AU$50

Entities who wish to have Organisational Membership must have a Board of Directors comprising of a majority of persons with disability; and have objectives as identified through their operations and objects/constitution as promoting a society where people with disability are able to participate in all aspects of life.

These conditions must be satisfied as long as the entity remains an Organisational Member.  Should these conditions change the entity must notify the NSW DDLC committee.

Organisational Members must nominate a representative for all communications with the NSW DDLC and to attend general meetings of members. The Organisational Member must also notify the Centre of any re-nominations.

Corporate Membership: AU$200

Any corporations or entities that do not fit the requirements to be an Organisational Member may be classified as a Corporate Member and are entitled to attend all general meetings of members and to have one vote.
